V Hydrae (HIP 53085) is a carbon star located 2265.02 light years away in the constellation of Hydra. It has a very high source of plasma, and most scientists speculate that these plasma ejections are caused by very dim, unseen companion. It is also semiregular variable that can sometimes be described as a Mira variable by some.

The red-hued carbon star in question is in a post-AGB state, which indicates that the star is about ready to explode into a planetary nebula. This is strengthened by the fact that it is losing mass extremely quickly, especially from the smaller companion.

All the information and observations from multiple telescopes proves that the star itself has a material disk. Not sure if it would form planets though.
